DX growl what is it??

G'day my 06 gu 4.2td dx has the usual growl but it seems to be getting louder. Does anyone know where the noise comes from? It seems to be in all gears when the RPM's are between 800 - 1500 then shes good to go.

Probably worn front bearing on the input shaft !!

Maybe consider replacing your gear oil , might reduce the noise a bit .
