Hi All,
I recently bought a key with transponder from ebay for my 2008 Patrol and tried to get it coded by the local Nissan dealer and they told me it would not code and must be the wrong chip.
After arguing with the seller he sent another and said it was deffinetly the correct chip.
Went back to Nissan dealer and they still cannot code it.
Has anybody else had problems getting keys coded?
Has anybody bought keys off ebay?

Nissan charge $45 to try to code it. They quoted $400 to supply key from nissan compared to $120 on ebay.
I may try a different dealer but will probably just blow another $45.

Threedogs i think your key was an earlier type, i believe they went to a new style in 06.

Shouldn't matter what year it is. Most decent locksmiths can do any car, even current model. I was quoted $145 for Key and coded chip for my old dunger from the local locksmith. Which I must do as I'm running around with only one key.
