Hey guys found out my winch is dead it so I'm in market for a new one I have found info on the old tigerz11 Hercules winches but not the newer ones any have info on the new Hercules range

You get what you pay for. Saying that you could end up lucky and buying a factory special. I doubt it.

What model died, if completely U/S try all the Aldi shops. Then you wont be starting another thread. Steer clear of Tigerz IMO

Yeah Aldi seem to get a good rap, but no good to you if not over there, save your fun vouchers
till a warn low mount comes along, If not you'll be back here talking to me. lol

Ive got a tabor9k winch its made by warn an I've given it a good workout for 3years and its never skipped a beat ,serviced it once,only issue i had was the free spool knob being hard to engage and disengage but I replaced it with a warn one as they are a larger one making it easier to turn

Was speaking to mud runner and he thinks I just had a simple case of winch stall cause I was doing a straight line pull out of mud down to the diff he reckons I should service the winch and see what happens

What's a service worth these days? ARB reckons a service every 6 months?

Strip and clean and repack with grease takes 30 min you will spend more time taking it off the bull bar but something you can do yourself

Next time do a double line pull if you have any doubts

Yeah I didn't really have a anchor point close enough tho even with a extension strap

Did you have another car with you? Can always use that as an anchor

Yeah I did all I did was drag him with the winch but his was a tray back

iron man are ok with a 3year warranty
