I am planing to fit a Tekonsha P3 to my vehicle, had a look at the brake light switch and discovered that there appears to be two brake lights switches on the pedal.

Question is: Are both of these brake light switches, and does it matter what one I splice into ??

Thanks

Should mention its a 2010 3.0 litre

I expect one will be for brake, one is for cruise control.

You can disconect one switch at a time, and see which one effects the brake lights, or just push the brake pedal down with one hand, and you can reach up and push the actual pin on each switch with the other hand and check when brake lights go out.

Bought myself a gregorys manual today, even that doesnt show two switches at the pedal.
Will have a look tomorrow and try your suggestion.
Thanks.

Yeah, chances are it's for cruise control.
Some late model cars have an "extended travel brake pedal switch" which is pretty much an "oh sh1t" message to the ABS to pull out all the stops.

Thanks 04off & BearGust.
Checked it out today.
The switch that is mounted closest to the consul side of the brake pedal is the brake switch.
Thanks Guys
