Ok is any one using an american full synthic oil 5w-40
they tell me its quite good its called lucas oil $55 for 5l
any thoughts on this

blowme down was watching the PBR pro bull riding on the telly
and one of the major sponseres was LUCAS OILS so must be ok
have to wait i guess till yendor gets on

Oh bull riding, I was way off with what I was thinking, Most oils from states OK.
But they have different conditions to us hey

For the zd30 there needs to be a detergent in if for the oil galleries can't remember what the codes are for it but its in an old thread somewhere

Sorry Roofy ,,, no idea.
If you change oil every 5000 then synthetic might be a bit of an overkill.
Also check if its suitable for the 3l as does it meet the specs
..........on the move.

i was looking at extending the changes to ten or 15 thou or longer
in the patrol manual it gives 5w/30 a mention ill look into it some more

Is your engine a zd30 or a rb30 I can see if you said. The oils are not too bad but make sure it suits your engine, of its the zd you need to make sure it has the right addatives to reduce carbon buildup ect.
