Hey I'm Adam from the Goldcoast. Just recently purchased a GQ lwb wagon last month and have already done a fair share of mods. Keen to get into the 4wding seen! Here's my Rig. Thanks to 97_lwb_GQ for his turbo build up. He is why my GQ is now turboed.

So far I've installed a turbo, 3inch straight exhaust, 3.5 inch lift (need caster correction and draglink bars). It had a winch, cb and spotties when i brought it.

Welcome dude. Enjoy the forum. Are they Zip ties used on the silicone elbow to the engine? If so you might want to use some spring loaded t-bolt clamps on that instead. Also how does she go now it's turbo'ed?

Thanks. Yeah they are zip ties haha, just a temporary solution till i get some larger clamps. The Aluminium tubing has had a beaded edge put around it so it shouldn't leak. It goes so hard being turboed. Running 10 pounds of boost with the fuel turned up around 2 turns. I've got an EGT gauge installed and the temperature doesn't seem to lift from around 200 degrees C. Well worth it and the best part, the setup for the turbo only owes me 1700 including exhaust!

Thanks :) Here's my setup, I'm using the original precleaner in conjunction with the snorkel kit. (Ironman snorkel kit for vertical precleaner)

Thanks for that Adam. It looks like Im going to have to replace my airbox (Running an RD28T) Safari make a kit for the air box of my GQ but the air has to do a 180 deg turn to get into the air box so im thinking this would be a huge restriction.

Thinking I could replace it with the airbox from a VR or VS commodore.

Cheers,

Rob

Yeah thats proberly the cheapest option. My precleaner is pretty restrictive but it works and i get an awsome power output. If i had some cash i would go for a ZD30 airbox but the cheapest i can find is $150 :(
