Hey guys,
Been reading up a bit on this forum for a little while now and it has all been an interesting read, i don't own a patrol yet, but it is on my very short list (my current 4x4 is a bit of a softroader and it can't handle what i keep trying to throw at it), i'm waiting for the right patrol to come along but i just wanted to ask you all if there is anything in particular i should look out for, i'm looking for about a 2005 3.0 diesel(give or take a few years), i already know about the so called hand grenade and the nads fix, all of this is well documented and something i will be keeping in mind and this forum has been awesome in helping me in my decision so far, but i'm just curious if there are other things i should look for. thanks in advance guys, i'm sure i'll be hassling you all with more questions over the next few years

Welcome to the forum mate and good luck in the search!!!

You'll get a better response if you ask questions in another section as a lot people don't read the introduction section.

Welcome mate.
First up, can't beat a Nissan.. :p
Secondly the so call hand grenade is such a given on forums because we talk about it and have a small amount of people documenting things.. There are millions of ZD30 'grenades' out there, and a lot of drivers have never heard of the issues..
Sure it's better to be safe than sorry, but you do have to wonder how much us tappers talk up the negatives, and not the positives.

Hi mate. Welcome to the forums. In terms of your question it depends on what you're after. Price is usually the consideration but as with buying any second hand car it pays to check them out thoroughly - don't fall in love with the first one you see - hard I know 'cause its hard not to love a Patrol! Anything specific you're concerned about?
