Realise this is a massive long shot but who knows. Been made redundant at my current job, had something lined up but it fell through.
Been in electrical wholesaling in Traralgon for the last 13 months, before that I was doing engineering at uni. I live in Thorpdale and willing to travel half an hour each way for work. Preference would be to stay in the electrical industry, I've really enjoyed wholesaling but I'd be willing to do just about anything, just need a job so I can keep the mods coming.
If you know of anything going out there I'd really appreciate it if you could let me know.

Thanks all!

Wow that is dedication. Any further than a half hour drive is just too far in my opinion, that half hour covers a fair distance though, Traralgon, Warragul, Leongatha and all the places in between.

Sucks mate, which wholesaler did you work for?

Will ask my local middys If they have any branches out your way that need staff.

Hey, I've been with Ideal. I know there are two Middys near here, not sure if they need staff though, I plan to head around to all the wholesalers next week and see if any of them need staff. Thanks for that though mate I really appreciate it.

most employers look at "reasonable" travel is roughly an hour each way BUT if you score something closer than that it's a bonus :)

bad luck on being made redundant and hope you score something soon.

currently driving around 65-70kms each way at about an hour and a bit with traffic - sux the hairy 1 though

I think with the more senior roles with the higher pays you'd be expected to travel further... keep in mind I'm 19 and have one year experience so not going to walk into a managerial position or anything.

No worries mate. My missus cousin is a manager at a titan electrical but that's in Springvale I think not sure how long that would take for you to get to. At least you're still young mate, something will crop up
