Have been a Nissan Patrol Owner and lover for many years. We own a 2005 ST-S GU IV Series Y61 in white 6 cylinder Turbo Intercooled with a heap of extras we had fitted. An awesome cared for Patrol!
Being an older person, but not a fossil, my wife and I have enjoyed owning this vehicle, just a truly amazing vehicle, but she has not seen any bush work or real four wheel driving! 99% bitumen only! But we still love driving the Patrol around. Sadly we are going to sell our beloved Patrol because of unseen changed circumstances for us that have happened or been forced upon us over the past 8 weeks. Buggar!
My question is this; can anyone advise us where is a good place or best place to place an add to sell our Nissan? Not having ever had a 4x4 before to sell and not wishing to trade the vehicle in, so a private sale is anticipated. We are hoping to complete all the Road Worthy tests etc by middle to end of this week.

Any advice or assistance would be most welcome. Thank you in advance.
Cheers Tupela Tasol

Welcome 2 the forum

Sorry to hear you have to sell your Patrol

You can place an add on the forum itself here: http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/forumdisplay.php?29-Used-Nissan-Patrol-4x4-s

There are a fair few 4wd websites / forums that you could join and advertise and then there's always ebay and gumtree etc.....

Good luck with the sale

Cheers

G'day mate, sorry to hear you're getting rid of the Patrol. Who knows maybe you'll end up in another one another day.
Put an ad up on Carsales, you'll get the most people looking at your ad on that website hands down. Not free, but not expensive and totally worth it, your car WILL be sold (and quickly) if advertised on there.

Shame about that. If you ad it here I'm sure there will be lots of lookers. If you ad it on carsales, you get lots of askers, but if you drive it down my street, you'll might get a buyer :)

I agree with mudrunner, mostly.

They do enjoy a very high re-sale value. Depending on km's and accessories, I think you may be a little hard pushed getting $50-$60k for a 2005. I think a 2006 with around 100k km are worth around high $40, low $50. The hardest part is finding someone with that sort of money as insuring for that value for finance is difficult.

Just my opinion from buying one earlier this year after looking for 12 months.

Good luck with the sale. Be sure to post pics and an ad on here.
