Has anyone priced a new 3 core radiator for their pride and joy? mine is a Petrol GQ so the cost vs value here is somewhat out there. Buy Australian made and the top of the tree aluminium PWR radiator comes in at $1200, then a brass / copper 3 core Aussy made $600, then the ebay specials aluminium chinese radiators at $200.

Does anyone have any feedback here that may be helpful?

cheers,

Gordy

There was a thread about this a while ago. If I remember there were a few who had good results with the copper 3 core and it probaby fits quite nicely into the affordabilty with quality.

One of my customers bought a 3 core alloy rad for his GQ Shorty TB42 it was a Aussie desert cooler, he said he got it fitted direct by them and it set him back a bit. He said he thinks it works ok BUT they had to chop a fair bit out of his fan shroud and his opinion it isn't too bad but he didn't like the hack job on the shroud. As far as the cheap stuff on ebay well, 2 out of 3 leak they are not tested correctly and you have a 1year warranty vs 3 years with a aussie made unit. At the end of the day you pay for what you get and i have tried the cheap stuff and it ends up costing you more in the end and you usually end up buying the better ones later.
