View Full Version : Diesel Cold Start Problem or Why this forum is Useful

Been having trouble getting my 20 year old poorly maintained diesel started here in Kazakhstan now that it is starting to get cold at night - zero to -3. I have only owned this for a few months. Its a mess of old oily wires, some going nowhere, but it is still fun to drive for the price I paid.

Anyway, I downloaded the manual and was looking at the wiring. And look what I found! No wonder it is having trouble starting in the cold:

From the manual's wiring diagram that white wire is not going where it needs to go!

Looks like the large glow plug bank is not getting any power... Am I right on this one?
