Hello all,

I have a noise which has gotten a lot worse in the last 2 weeks, first I thought it was the thrust bearing or the gear box but after having a poke around under the bus I found whats in the video.

Question:
Would this movement cause a loud roar sound ?? ( roars when accellerating or coasting )
And can that movement be fixed easly or is it a big job ??

I was going on a 3 day trip this weekend ..was...:frown:

Can it be done by just taking off the drive shaft and accessing it from there while on the car or would I have to unbolt the diff housing and take it out.

On my other 4x4 I did it on the 4x4 just dropped the tailshaft, Didn't take too long from memory
Not having done a Patrol one, I'd wait till someones who's done one comes along
