Hi everyone,
I'm 38 years old and from Wagga Wagga, NSW and my wife and I have just bought our first four wheel drive.
We have been looking around for the past two years and had decided on either a 100 series Cruiser or a GQPatrol. our final decision was the GQas we were told that they were cheaper to maintain. They also look great and have the grunt. We were looking for a turbo diesel; however, two days ago we came across a 199o GQin extraordinary condition. The car presents like new and is stock standard except for central locking and an Awsome stereo system. The selling point was the K's.
With only just over 100,000KM's on the clock the car drives like a new one. Add to this the aluminium bull bar, brush rails, side steps and electric tow breaks, the $6000 price tag seemed reasonable.
MY plans are to run with the petrol until around 350,000km's, then swap it out with a new diesel motor and gearbox.
This is my first 4X4 and I recon it may be the one I will keep.
I will post some pictures next week.
cheers,
