G-day guys,
Today I had my GU 3.0TD fitted up with a new Redback 2.5" high flow exhaust system & a Tunit chip.
What a nice difference that has made. a fair bit more top end power, (revs out quicker) & more torque down low. the chip is currently set on #5

It wasn't a cheap exercise either. But I'm happy with it

Now might be a good time to NAD your ride

When I first rang up they originally quoted me about $2690. After a week or so i popped into the workshop for a chat to get more info, & got the price down to $2400 cash. That was for both the exhaust & chip fitted

After doing more Kms today, I can be a little more precise & leave better feedback on what difference it's made having the new exhaust & chip put in.
The whole delivery of power/torque & acceleration has changed totally.
I've noticed I don't need to down shift as much in the traffic, The torque will accelerate out in a higher gear, as well as you can really short shift threw the gears a lot easier while going up the gears.
There is a noticeable difference in power when the turbo kicks in & you need to put your right foot into it.

It's to early to tell yet regarding fuel economy, but I'm pretty sure there is an improvement,

I'm about to switch from a Scotts Rod 3" system to the Redback 2.5" system - advice from Redback suggests that I might lose 3kW up top (where I don't need it) and pick up a few Newton metres in the midrange, where I do need it.

If I can, I'll get a dyno tune before and after and post results. I am running a Steinbauer chip, currently set to 120%.
