Lets see where the loyalties lie, I'm a Ford man and have been since I first went to Bathurst and Watched Murray Carter and Alan Moffatt, great watching the Rotaries flogging up the mountain.
Debut of the XU-1s and E39 Charger, loved it when Walkinshaw racing brought the Jags over. was even there when Brownie rolled the GT HO on the top, that was right in front of us. heaps of stories, but what happens at Bathurst stays at Bathurst

Having owned 4 holdens I'm not sure if I like them or I'm against them!! So perhaps I'm just a big fat FENCE SITTER! Love watching though. I usually go for an underdog coming up through the pack OR a legend that is way ahead because they're killing it!

Ford all the way, unsure of my thoughts about letting Nissan & Mercedes in next year though, but on the upside, it will open up the racing a bit as Ford is slowly pulling funds from the sport (idiots)

Frosty has my support 100% these days, after 888 being contracted across to GMH

Was broken hearted when Ford dint give Lowndes his start, had been following him through his formula days. Still watched with great anticipation when he was with HRT, and done backflips of Joy when Ford finally offered him a contract... Deadset legend

after they build and weigh it, they cut a 300mm section out of the middle of car, like a cut and shunt. the car racing is 300mm to 450mm shorter than a showroom model.
Also we down in Mexico have been calling it Bathurst more on the hurst. was told its Bathist to locals
Maybe Goat or a few of the more local members could confirm this please.

Big Fella red or blue dont worry about the first 160 laps its the 161st thats important, hopefully no Stategic safety car to bunch them up.
If they did then Brock would only be leading by 5 laps. You'll never see that again. Notice every now and then someone comes along who
is just a damn good bloke, Barry Sheene springs to mind, reckon Lowdnes is the other. very humble man

Wonder what will be racing next year with the V8's gone?? Hope it stays appealing, fingers crossed.

Fart boxes. V6 Twin Turbo.

There's some videos going around.

Hmmm. I reckon if spectators/viewer numbers take a dramatic fall they might bring back V8's? How about Y62's vs Landcruisers around Bathurst?? Haha I'd watch that!

The Utes are being replaced by the SUV pick ups. Colorado, Ranger, Amarok and the like.

Yeah but personally the utes are a bit myeh so i dont really care too much about that overhaul, but if the supercars turn into something similar to the european touring cars ill be pretty disappointed. Realise there were various makes/models included inthe aussie touring car racing right through to the 80s/90s but the V8 supercar category was something else. Will have to wait and see how the new format is, but i cant get too excited about the thought of ford mondeos and holden vectras getting around.

Well that wasn't so bad. Not as fart-boxy as I thought they'd be but still not a V8 eh? After watching this clip I would still watch Bathurst with enthusiasm probably because the track is just so bloody unreal!
