I have purchased a snorkel from eBay ,cheap, was wondering has anyone else purchased one.How they went about the install.
It came as a full kit with templates and fittings just no instructions

You may struggle ,if template is not right, there are a few problems with the cheap snorkels.
not many shops will fit them, so good luck. Maybe a member close by who's fitted one
may be able to help

Use the Template but check everything before you cut. It is likely that the template may be slightly out so Measure twice. Set the Template up on the panel and then test fit the snorkel, it should be fairly obvious if they are not in line.

Be smart and it wont be that hard.

thanks for that,i havnt started drilling but everything seems to measure up ,the A pillar looks to be the part that is going to stump me ,they have given me 3 small bolts but nothing to attach them to on the A pillar.
see how i go

I recently put one of those on my mates Disco.

Template didnt line up the best for us. The inside part that connected to the filter didn't fit very snug on the Disco so double check that side of things. We had to silicone it shut as there were 2mm gaps and uneven moulding.

Take some photos for us if can so we can check it out.

X2, nothing like the fit of a safari or genuine snorkel. But still does the same job.. As he said, You get what you pay for...

the safari instructions said it would take 100 minutes ,it probly took the most time removing the airbox and inner gaurd,i did take my time and measured 10 times to cut once and the only issue that i found was the elbow that attaches to the airbox ,but in the instructions from safari it tells you to use copious amounts of siker flex so that was alright to fill an uneven 2mm gap.
But over all im stoked
