same thing happen to me only there and there were no witnesses, a car raced into the left lane to overtake me using a turning lane(young tool in daddys bmw) and then tried to cut me off to go straight, being a stubborn bastard I didn’t brake or move i think i may have laughed? and ended up pit manoeuvring him doing a 360 into a block wall. it was all well and good till he changed his story after giving a statement already!?!? saying I was in the right lane and he was in the left going straight and I merged into him ....... who in their right mind can’t see a car if its diagonally left to the front of your car ..... Well anyway the good thing is it wrote off his daddy’s car but it was his word against mine so we both had to pay our excesses, not even a scratch on my car.
have you tried thretening them to change insurance companies?

this bloody things already compensate its costs (actually 100USD) twice when I have problem with road police when they suspect me in crossing the street on red light or don't pass the pedestrian on the crosswalk. When I show they a vid how it was really all question was closed.
kevin07 guess the truth will be on side of your son.

^^ my dad got one fitted to his truck as ppl were ringing the cops complaint of excessive tail gating, cutting lanes etc etc..
And with in a week of showing the cops the footage of the d**k heads he has to put up with the cops started using his footage against the complainers..
They sure pay for them selves pretty quickly

As Road Pilots most of us have camera's in our vehicles as protection against dxxkheads and cops back down a bit when they see you have one.
They save a lot of hassals and do stand up in Court. Hope it all works out for your son mate.

Should all be driving around with these fitted records in loops, in the event of a boo boo its all recorded date, time etc. Also great for doing tracks
Can't beat recorded vision as evidence
best $60 odd bucks you'll ever spend

I think that is something that all new vehicles should be made mandatory to have. Hard to dismiss video evidence.

I think you need to get the witness to sign a stat dec that way if proven not true they can be charged with fraud, also check the area for cameras and surveillance and see if you can get copies of the tapes.

yes i have asked for this witness to sign a stat dec we will see how it goes i dont give up. my son is studying law and he is doing voluntary work with a barrister who has said that he will appear for him so i will say he will probably get involved next week, we see how much they wish to carry on then.

People seem to change their minds when legal action is threatened. Sad that it has to go that far though. All the best with this ordeal.

Brilliant...... I hope he sticks it to them hardcore as its bloody wrong whats going on & even though I'd say it probably wouldn't change the way they stitch up they're next customer, I'd still like to see them take a hit in the a&^% for trying to screw over this one. Bad form on they're part indeed.
Best of luck with it.

The biggest problem is insurance companies don't like the uninsured. NRMA, GIO etc have deals where they cop it sweet when there is a mutual claim. Throw uninsured into the mix and it stuffs everything up, they then have to do some work to chase the money they are owed.

What was the damage to the car ???
Its now a law that after a certain amount of damage, i think its 3 K, the cops have to be notified
Did this happen ???
If its under and the cops wernt involved, youll have an excess to pay depending on the driver
Is the excess up near the damage to fix ???
Bit of a tricky one, but id think with all the younguns wanting to foto every bloody thing , there would surely be some pics of the crash and or damage
Dont be alarmed about insurance companies, quick to take the premiums , very very slow to pay a claim
Any excuse they can find to either hold up or refuse a claim they will do
Good luck

X 2 on the Dog part this is my sons but we have to look after him, bloody funny dog sometimes, S$%t of a thing chewed my 7 seat, seat belts in half.
no real drama as dont use them anyway.
As for those DVR for the dash I can get them at a reasonable price, plus I'm not a greedy person. So if enough were interested I could figure out price, but off the top of my head would think $50-$60 tops, depends on freight
