hey guys rolled my gq on the weekend
worst part i wasn't even in the bush
looking to do cab swap from my wagon to a ute preferably just wondering if the ute cab mounts are the same to the wagon n if any one knows of any laying around that they wanna get rid of your help would be great appreciated

This question was here recently, from memory mounting points differed from year to year.
Wouldn't it be a different chassis as well???

Yes it is a different Chassis. you would need to have it re- registered at a Ute and possibly get it Engineers too.

If you can chase a body and do a swap for an easy fix.

Or .... Cut it down depending on what is bent and use the one you have.

You will likely pay $1500 at least for a Ute cab! I know blokes that pay that for the cab just to cut the back off for there cut down conversion. Scarce and expensive.

Out of curiously where did you roll it if not out in the bush, didn't manage to roll it on the road did you?

Ute cab bolts straight onto wagon chassis. You will need the wagon guards if it was a leaf ute cab and you will also need to cut out the steel inner guard for the shock tower to protrude through but it's double layered so you won't see the shock towers from the engine bay. Regarding legality of it it is still a wagon and just needs a mod plate

nah she is still sitting in my drive way still undecided on what todo with it might be keeping the wagon on it an just fixing it up cause had a panel beater look at it an he said isnt a write off so cheering now i just gotta rebuild the motor or swap it cause its got a knock in it oh well fun fun
