Hi folks.

Was hoping someone could quickly explain to me the removal and cleaning process for the intercooler. Ive so far removed the lid. I can see only 4 mounting brackets, 1 electrical connection and 2 hoses. Is it simply removing the hose clamps on both inlet and outlet hoses and then the mounts??

Any pics would be much apreciated or links to other sites. If its as simple as that then just confirmation would be granted.

Cheers

Yeah its as simple as that. Just make sure you mark everything before removing so it can go back the way you removed it. As for the cleaning there is a couple of threads around here explaining some options.

i agree with boots. I would do the intake as well. you will see it when you take the hoses off. Mine was black when i first did it.

Here are some pics of it apart. Hope they help.

PS.. do your MAF sensor and disconnect the battery for 30 Minutes while you do this. Make sure you use a MAF Sensor Safe cleaner. It is important to at least disconnect this battery to let the computer reset as after the cooler is cleaned the air flow will be significantly different and it will need to relearn its inputs.
