G-day guys,
Im after a bit of feedback on fitting either a 2.5" or 3" exhaust system to my GU 3.0TD.
What benifits does it provide??
Is it worth spending the money??
Does it increase engine power/performance/torque by much??
Does it lower fuel economy by much??
Do i need to get my DP chip retuned or the Patrol put on a dyno to maximise performance benifits??
What system is preferred??
I have been looking at the Redback system, fitted by Daalder exhaust in Dandenong Melb.
Any feedback would be helpful.

Thanx

G'day Knakkers, I do think it's worth the money and beneficial for the longevity of your engine. Power does increase slightly but noticeable. I did fit a DP chip to mine with Taipan 3" zorst. When it's trick up, you really do feel the difference in power.
Economy wise prior chip/zorst for me was about 14.8l/p100, after chip/zorst fitted with chip set on 7, I got 14.3l/p100, with the chip set on 3 I got 13.6/7l/p100 but I did lose some power but still better than standard. I have not done a dyno yet and not sure if I will.

Cheers Big Mick.
