smokey diesel td42

hey guys ive got a n/a td42 gq patrol and it seems to be overly smokey about around 2200-2500rpm
its deffinetly a black smoke so its got me thinking maybe to much fuel? what are some things to look at to fix it? i was thinking of replacing airfilter run a carbon clean or something similer threw the engine replace injectors and exhaust and get a tune

just seen the sticky sorry guys but while i got a thread going what is a good injector to get?

There is also a nut on the injector pump where you can wind down the fuel, some people wind it up for a little bit extra puff.

You normally just get them exchange if you get onto your local diesel specialist they should be able to help you out. If i remember correctly the last set i got were around $70 each
