my 99 GU had a clutch/flywheel replaced in June. Mechanics didn't bother to look at the master or slave, so after a complete dressing down i divorced them and got under the hood. Replaced the Master and Slave. Bled the lines everything seemed fine until a week ago, the slave exploded....kinda. The piston inside the cylinder popped out, due to what looked like a faulty o ring. i replaced the slave with a new one and now, i'm getting a slave cylinder that is sticky and reluctant to allow the clutch to engage. It's as if someone is feathering the clutch when i let off the pedal. I've bled the line 3 times and my wife is getting sick of it.
from what i've read here at the forum, it might be a booster? any way to bypass that?
thoughts?

Is you're clutch is slipping?
Any fluid leaks in bell housing?
Seals in m/cyl & slave are specifically set & sized. Slightly different seals cause headaches or they wont function propperly.
Likewise, freeplay between push-rod and throw-out arm is important.
There should be a little freeplay between slave, maybe a space washer, & the throwout.
If the slave is under tension when ya bolt it on,it's not very good.
That's where I'd start if it worked fine before.
