My battery is dieing in the work car and considering getting the exide extreme that has 660cca and I think 80ah.

Being a work car I can't add a dual battery system.

Does anyone have any feedback on hybrids?

Also if they hold 660cca why wouldn't people buy these over a normal 660 cranking battery?

I have a Supercharge version currently as the main battery in the Troll (prev owners really muffed up the dual system) and so far does well. I will end up changing it to the 100Ah version and the 2nd tray being smaller will fit the the 80AH battery in there.

Will give me better options using 2 x hybrid batteries plus I have a projecta battery pack (poor mans ARK pack) to set up yet so will be able to have 3 batteries plus the emergency battery jump pack, later on will do a solar panel set up as well

Hey ONCEDISTURBED, why the need for so much 12v power, I only have 80 watt panel for recharge duties, 110ah AUX in 4x4 for fridge and lighting.
never ever ran out of power and all at camp is 12v, plenty of LED lighting etc. maybe over kill? then I have camper with 110 ah battery if required.

I run 2x Century brand hybrid style in mine, the cca's are up around the 900 mark & 90ahs from memory. Im only running a 120amp alt with a redarc & the system works very well.

The main reason I went this direction in the Mav was the slower discharge/quicker recharge rating cos when Im out night wheeling with all my lights running flat chat & low engine RPM's I found the older non hybrid batteries just wouldn't stand up to well & I managed flatten them a few times & after fitting the hybrid style batteries I haven't had that issue.......

Not a very technical response I know but based on experience I found they work well ass apposed to the regular type I was running prior.
