I'm gonna buy some beer, make the drive up to my dad's place, then we are gonna have a great night sinking beers, throwing darts and talking crap! Only get to see him a few times a year so it should be a good surprise for him and a great night for the both of us. Love my dad, wish he was around when I was a kid.

Just enjoy your Dads company while you have him, do what you can for and with him.
When they have gone, you miss them so much.
Anyway, Happy Fathers day to all Dads.
And may their bright eyes never go dim.
Cheers, the ferret.

It'll be prawn & chorizo risotta for me (my favourite meal from my wife) plus she gives my three boys (10, 6 & 2) ten bucks each and keys them get whatever they want to get me from the shopping centre. They get me awesome stuff. I've had crayons, colouring books, paper airoplane mking books, stuff that they want. We always play with the stuff together and it is a great day for 30 bucks.

Heres a photo of my mate & Dad, we call this photo "Bright Eyes", taken at the entrance of Daydream Mine at Silverton in 2010. It was a few weeks before his 80th.
Then we went across the Anne Beadell Highway... good trip.
Your comment made me think of it.
Bought him of a bottle of his favorite "little Bird" - The Famous Grouse for Sunday, a big lump of Aussie beef on the barbie and he will be sweet.

One of my babies is home from uni at the moment, hope to see the other one on Sunday.
Darling wife is visiting her Mum, so we can eat and drink what we like!!!
All jokes aside my Father in law passed away recently so Sunday is not going to be easy for my wife and her family.
He was 85 so a good innings, and we saw him not long before he passed and he was in really good spirits.
Those are the memories I will keep.
Edit, Our thoughts go out to those who's Dad's are not with us any more. Also those who have lost their young one's or no longer have contact.

Mixed feelings for me, my first Fathers Day without my Dad as he passed away earlier this year. Make the most of your time with your parents, and with your children.
To all the dads out there 'Happy Fathers Day'
Cheers

Well, I've rung the old boy and reminded him what he's created, and my kids gave me breakfast in bed, followed by an annual offering -- new welders mask, new offset bench vice, "free beer tomorrow" sign for the shed, and a box of choccies!!!! Bless em!!!!
And low and behold, I now have a beer can in hand sitting on my date doing zilch ... aaaahhhhh ... it's a good day!!!!!!
Happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there.
