howether it is no always was shiny like this, this way i have it for last year....that is how it looked 2 years before:

http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2012/08/227.jpg

that was very sad picture, and for 1 year it was hanging in that garage half way disassembled....finally in december 2010 i found people with whom finally we understood each other about the job to be done.....so first thing was done is frame.......all the nasty rust cut off anf virtually half of the frame was builded from scratch

since body lift was planed, it was stupid not to use the niche made bu it to increase the fuel tank....more over, the tank i had was leaking and rusted, so it was replaced by custom aluminum tank with usable volume of 140-145 liters.

http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2012/08/236.jpg
http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2012/08/237.jpg

while fixing the frame, front winch was embedded in it as well:
http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2012/08/238.jpg
http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2012/08/239.jpg

side steps were made and fixed and the whole thing was rolled out into snow in winter to rest there for almost half a year until i was pounding together some money and deciding wich way to go further....in late june 2011 the car started it engine (amazed every one) and poor and sick old RD28T made its last meters rolling it into garage again....the car was split into to
http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2012/08/240.jpg

and pile of rust and trush into wich become old body was removed and scraped

http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2012/08/242.jpg
http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2012/08/243.jpg

the chases with new lifted suspension was prepared to meet its new friends
http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2012/08/244.jpg

this badboy does not need to be introduced for people here....the whole assembly jumped onto chassis
http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2012/08/245.jpg

Anton1981
29th August 2012, 10:40 PM
body is ready to jump on as well
http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2012/08/246.jpg

so here we are looking kinda funny with old tiny donuts:
http://s42.radikal.ru/i096/1108/99/1775c49609a9.jpg
http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2012/08/247.jpg

still a mess inside.....at this point people ran to scrap yourd in search for the old body :smileyvault-cute-bi....to make a perfect fit they cut out motorshield from scraped body, shaved the newone and welded oldone on the new one, so that left hand car can be assembled from new right hand body....since it was all disassembled, lower boudy sound proofing was done too
http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2012/08/248.jpg
http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2012/08/249.jpg

rear and front armor was custom build and put on along with the new 35` donuts and aluminum stear anr "rooflagage"

SO ON 22.08.2011 THE CAR WAS DRIVEN AWAY BY ME.....you gona laugh but it is not compleatly done still....2 days ago i again roled it into work for some more or less serious but not so noticeable works to be done....if you enjoyed this post, and want to help and you have electroscheme of 24volts Y60- that would be awesome, since here are only 12v schemes in russia.....the one i managed to find is in japaneese, wich does not help.....so if you have it in english please share.

Thank you for watching/reading!
PS-sorry my lousy english
PSS-originally i posted this pictures and much more on russian website in my thread there.....yes you can use this pics-material, just cut off number plates
PSSS- every thing was done according to russian legislation, i have all the necessary documents to prove that no stealing/smuggling was evolved.

thx! there are some problems still wich i am going to finish in short time....i wanted to build a fun car to hit the mud hard.....now it is mutating into expedition car, since i tryed few 4x4 club goverings with competitions, and it feels bad then you damage it.....i want separate junk car for that kinda fun ))))

front winch is set up good too.......some idiot droped concreat block into litle body of water wich i hit going about 20km/h......the impact was realy bad......still body lift withstood it so did the front part.....the block hit the mouth of the front winch.....bumper toor no damage....the mouth got a bit bended, but it didnt even lost asinge roller.....that was a lucky one )

29th August 2012, 11:09 PM
i am taking my time ) any way it seems here is more tho pick up than just the manual )

right now i am fixing:
rear diflock- doesnt lock......tomorow ill know fo shure if it is going to be fixed.....it is imposible to find one in russia with the lock......ARB locks suck if there is one made by manufacturer
front winch- it is mounted.....i take that 50 kilo for a ride every time....again this week ill know if il be posible to get power take of unit for reasonable price to power that hydralic come up
electrics- prety big list
pneumo- same thing i am carring that resiever for nothing......the compresor is power by separate not charging ACB......same with rear winch, and 24-220 transformer......people are working on how to charge this butary......i have a few ideas thou ))) lets see that they will propose
engine lost some trust- needs to be cheked......i am 99% shure it suck air somethere
installing webasto-it is cold here ))
i had rear bumper and wheel holder remade, need that powder paint job done

Can you set your batteries up in a 24v configuration?

Anton1981
29th August 2012, 11:38 PM
i have 3 bataries now.......originally there were 2 in sequence.....for some reason they lost power after 7 days of standing......i went to see a FEW electrics along thith the one who was doing the project.....nobody cold tell me that is wrong, and was too busy to take it for a close look......so i got fed up thith this crup and sat down and thout for a while.......only one of 2 bataries died.....i tryed to find what is conected to it along to resieve 12v......i couldnt find any thig......so i desided to kill the bustard ))) i bought a pair of small optima elow top each 37AH and put a pair of them togrther instead of one butary, the second one i removed and shortcurcut it sockets.....i ran for a few days like it, but nothing died )))) so finally i found what 24-12 impulse inverters didnot shut of then you remove the key and suck up both bataries at once.......so ill have them reconected as well.....

so on the emptu place i put a 100ah ACB just for winch and compressor.......at first i wanted to charge it throu that 2 inverters (25A each), but the voltage is not enough to get a full charge......so i am thinking of getting them rewired to increase voltage or charging from 220V trough regular charger we use in a garage )

Anton1981

Wow there is some awesome fabrication skills that have gone on here, I don't know why but I really like the barwork. Probably just because it is so different to everything we see here in Australia. Well done mate you've done an excellent job in restoring the old girl.

thank you pleasant coments every one!
about the rear bar, i must tell you- dont get fooled by what you see ))) one frosty day this carboneted steel shaft on which the weel holder spins broke like a glass :jawdrop: and weel fell on the ground with half of construction on it.....these 35`` maxis tyres weigh about 35-40 kilos each....that is the price you pay for the strength of 8 layers of diagonal steel cord....although the rims are aluminium, the whole weel weights a ton....so 5 months on bad roads and off them and freezing temperature killed the thing. To prevent that from happening any more instead of shaft, wheel barrings with its housing were used  plus to lock the whole thing the toe hook setup was used insted of original locking spiner. i will try to find picks of setup....the car is in service about 150km away- cant take pictures now

Anton1981, did you finish installing the webasto? I am trying to get photos and ideas from others that have installed a webasto coolant heater on the Y60.

I will have the 24 volt wiring diagrams soon.
