The old 92 Patrol 4.2 petrol fuel injected normally goes well but recently has been losing power intermitantly. Eg, just like turning the key off then back on again. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Could be injectors or TPS depending on how and when it loses power - if you can replicate it through the rev range and/or in each gear, then I'd be going a TPS fault. If truly intermittent then possibly injectors, fuel delivery issue (rail, regulator, pump??). Hard to tell without more information mate, so let us know all you can and we'll do our best to assist.

This happened to me once, I just turned the car off and back on again and it hasn't done it since. Dunno what it was but I love vehicles that repair themselves.
