What else can be done to power up a 3L CRD. Has a chip and zaust already.

V8 mate, looks like you've done the common mods.Hahaha
I for one am more then happy with the power of the 3l, I know it's not a v8 and I'm not expecting it too go like one. It does everything I asked it too so far.
What sort of power are you looking for?

Not much you can do, maybe get it dynoed.
It's only 3lts, thought about sticking another turbo on it

New turbo and intercooler would be my thoughts - but even then the gains would be modest I'd reckon ...

Yeah, as Scotty said maybe an intercooler and a turbo and a good tune you'll probably squeeze a bit more out of it.
Which chip have you gone for?

Intercooler maybe, I wouldn't change the turbo. They spin up to 18psi boost in no time, doubt you'd want much more than that.
I upgraded the intercooler on my ZD30 Di with a fan to pull air through, IMO the fan makes a huge difference.

It sounds like the same issues I had. I suggest getting a dyno done and boost control. It worked wonders on mine. 119rwkw. Mine is GU7. Did you fit the DP Chip yourself?? I think they have different settings don`t they?? If you have dyno done, they can set fuel mixtures to suit the chip setting. All the best

Thought about GAS injection, some say great extra power, would look into it though

Dyno I haven't done yet but is also on the cards. How does a boost controller help.

Mego, with the DP Chip and the 3" exhaust - we shouldn't be able to catch you.....

needle valve when dynoed will dial in your spool up rate for optimum performance,
everything will work when its supposed to, getting mine done soon, I'll let you Know how it goes

With a bigger exhaust, tuning the motor to chip, setting chip to engine, etc, you can end up with over boost issues as I did. Put a dawes valve and needle valve, you can control the max boost to avoid this. I think by memory max is
22lb but you don`t want to exeed 18-19lb.

I found this, question above still stands.

Now I only have the Nissan Snorkel, does the above only work with larger SS or aluminium snorkels.

The ad says that the standard lid is good for 120rwkw so it might not do a lot...
What tyres are you running? Maybe changing diff gears is a better way to go?

You could try selling the DP Chip and getting the Unichip or the Dominator ChipIt chip....

Pretty sure there isn't much I can do any more apart from fitting this. 32110

the dp chip only increases fuel rail pressure,go for a stienbeaur or similar where the injector pulse width is changed, big differences between dp and stienbeaur

Something like the Dieselsmart module.
Except when I read this.

not really, the stienbuear connects to each individual injector and doesnt go anywhere near the fuel rail system

I don't own an oiler, but I'm interested to see what sort of power gain would be expected out of gas injection. I know it can up the fuel burn rate by 7% or more.

you should be looking for efficiency IMO, as in more ltr per 100 Ks.
I believe with efficiency will come longevity, I'm pretty happy with my performace
its just grunt I lack. got to be happy with a 3 tonne 4x4 getting 12.4lt/100k around town

Hey Mego, I've got the Diesel smart module and Love it. Yes, same principle as Steinbuear. Alters Injector timing not rail pressure.

One of my mates up lilydale way was out wheelin in emerald somewhere and found a long steep hill to climb. Where they had two patrols an a Jimny.
The Jimny did the hill unless than 5mins, the rigged out patrol did it in 33 mins and stock standard apart from bullbar did it in 46 mins. But what they found on the stock patrol was the auto losing way too many revs and bogging the car down. From his description I have done a similar hill but not as long and haven't seem to have that trouble.
Is this a shit auto in his car.
He has no snorkel or exhaust which would help spool up quicker is this sound correct.
