electric fan

Hi guys
question i have a 2002 Gu patrol 4.2 turbo diesel today i noticed while checking oil etc there was a electric fan fitted to the front of the radiator i found no reference to this in the haynes manual or operating manual anyone enlighten me on this is this a factory fitted fan

Hi Neil,

you will find that it is for the Aircon mate. helps cool the condenser cool. pretty sure thats right?? If i get a chance today i will pop the bonnet and check that but fairly confident. Someone else will pipe up if i am wrong though ;)

thanks mate been and had another look your right A/C pipes run through it

Yeah its for the condenser mate. Should only kick in if fan and a/c are on
