Hi all
i have discovered oil leaking from my turbo around the compressor side.
I have bought a kit of ebay to rebuild it but i have no idea what i am doing, Im going to have a go at it anyway.
Can anyone help with info ? Please

It would be more likely oil from the breather where it returns to the inlet piping it starts leaking at the front of the turbo because it is a low point and the seal isn't that great.
a common fix is a provent catch can .
Or run the breather to the atmosphere and block off where it enters the inlet piping.

In the unlikely event it is your turbo .
Try searching youtube and type (t25 turbo rebuild) into the search function.
It will give you enough info to diy.
heres one example

But i'd suggest watching a few as sometimes they leave out a few things.

Thanks for the help.
Its definitely the turbo as i already have a catch can fitted, after finding this forum i have learned alot about the pollution extras they add to engines now days. No wonder the old 1979 FJ 45 i have on the farm is still going well, it does not have any of that shit on it.

But do you have a baffled catch can fitted or provent.
A normal catch can does nothing to stop the oil.

My turbo also have a leak in lowest point - return oil pipe. So before unmount turbo check this place.
