Sorry it didnt upload any shots of the Patrol.
it's been a bit of work, doing it all myself apart from exhaust. gear box will be a tough job
but im happy with the way its going, would like more power but at the moment it'll have to do.

fast response red coloured suspension - everything red is faster, isn't it? :-)

Nice work and especially so since you are doing it all yourself, making a sound and practical rig.

Thanks for sharing!

thanks a lot, i will definately post the gear box, and lokka when i do it.
next break (fifo) i should be doing front rotors, kingpin and wheel bearings, swivel hub seals and refit, and installing the AUSSIE front lokka.
im in the process of updating my profile but i got a mac and this site doesn't like me uploading photos.

had an oil leak that turn out to be the crank seal behind the timing gear and getting the harmonic balancer off with no air tools was interesting. got the valve timing off a little and it ran horrible with no power so i had to do that again straight away... im a pro at that now... rb30 valve timing im your man lol

Rb30 valve timing had an issue in a manual where they told you something like 52 teeth and it was really mean't to be 53 i am a bit vague as it was about 10 years ago.
I did play with the cam timing advancing and retarding one tooth back then and it made a difference.

Yeah mate valve timing wasn't that bad, just a case of setting the cam gear over an extra tooth from the factory markings and allowing the tensioner to bring it back to straigh verticle.
i've senn little tools for the duel overhead cam that actually locks the to cams together so they cant move.
ive wasted a bit of time at work some nights just watch clips like "ericthecarguy.com" and "scottykilmar.com" i'd recommend them to anyone that needs a little confidence boost before attempting their own maintenance.
