engine swap

hey guys
just wondering if anyone can give me some info on what gose into putting a ls1 v8 into a gq cause sadly my 2.8td has just about givin up on me and ive been told all u need to do is swap a bell housing n a few other things an they go straight in any help would be grately apreciated

The ls1 bellhousing adaptor is made for the larger td tb 42 gearbox for starters.

An rb25 rb30 will bolt up to your gearbox they are a common conversion for the rd28's

You could always find a motor with a box and just run a adaptor for the transfer case.

so the adapter is a 4.2 box bellhousing
an if i was to get a motor n box where do i find a adapter for my transfer??
