Hey guys, iam in the maket for some front and rear air lockers for my gu coil ute, i have done some research on both brands and i am leaning towards the tjm pro locker because of the problems arb have with diff oil smell coming through the compressor and o-rings. the quotes i got were quite different with arb being $4500 with a compressor to run a air line and tjm was $3800. fitted with a similar compressor.

I have mates who have both and both swear by the brand they have.

any info would be greatly appreciated. cheers

I'd also look into the Eaton E-locker if I were you. Just get a price at least.

Out of those two I would go with TJM.

I have ARB but he original design. If i had to go again i'd have a good good think about TJM.. I would also be having a good look at the Eaton though too for sure.

I'm biased but Pro Locker for me. You'll find most comp 4x4 use them as well. Has to be a reason

i have arb front and rear. had them since christmas and no problems so far. touch wood. If I had my time over I would not get the rear straight away and just get a front as the patrol has one of the best lsd's going around. having said that i love'em. loose traction flick a switch and your going again. Expensive? yes! worth it? absolutely? I dont think you'd be dissapointed with either.

When I feel the need to get locked, I will be going the Eaton Elockers. No need to worry about airlines popping off, or worse getting torn off, no air leaks, no oil smells. no noisy compressor, Similar price to the air lockers too

Worth while looking into in my opinion

Elocker all the way.. No need to carry a useless compressor, no air lines to break, no air leaks, no oil leaking up the line, no need to wait for the compressor to pump up.. Elocker is IMO the best manual locker on the market, simple yet very good.. you will not be disappointed in it!!!
