Hey guys,

I've had a very small amount of engine oil dripping
Off my bellhousing. Figured it was the rear main.

Spoke to the PO who said that it had been replaced
And to check rocker cover.

And I think he was close as I have just checked the bolt for tightness
And all but one were very loose.

Can someone please confirm the torque setting for
The rocker cover bolts. Or if they should just be nice and snug with a screwdriver for instance.

They were so loose on mine I got about 2 to 3 turns with a screwdriver before they even felt a little tight.

Thinking the oil on my bellhousing may just be build up as there is a fine layer of oil down the intake side of the engine.... Hope this is all it is.... Much better than a rear main seal .

Thanks for any help.

1 - 2 Nm
0.1 - 0.2 kg/m
0.7 - 1.4 ft/b

not very tight.

I'd be having a look at the hose from your PCD valve on top of your Rocker cover as the most likely cause mate. very common to leak and mess and a constant flow.

Degreased engine and bellhousing, I'll keep an eye on it now
