Well, let me introduce myself:
I'm currently linving in aruba for the next 2 years, this is my posting for the royal netherlands navy. I only just arrived on the island and i bought a '99 Patrol GR 2.8 LWB before coming here from our dental assistant who just left the island.
She allready told me it was a smokey bugger (the car i mean) and boy, was she right.
Lot's of black smoke when accelerating.
After reading a lot on this forum (and some others) i've decided to block the EGR valve.
Lucky i've got a workshop used by the marines for their cars, and some more skilled help, since this is the first car i'll be tinkering with

If you guys have got any tips on doing this with a '99 GR, feel free to share them

Regards!
