Looking for some advice.
Have a motor plan covering my 2008 GU Patrol. It is now due for a 80 000 km service and that costs $1225 vs $325 on the motor protection plan.

Would it be fair to say do the $325 service and compare the required service book vs plan and then do the balance myself?

Any advice would be great!!

The motor plan requires that I service the vehicle based on 10 items stipulated in the plan. The service book however requires 25 items done on the vehicle for the amount of Km driven. This service will cost me $1200.

If I chose to do the service based on the plan.10 items required to meet the plan. Then do the other 15 items myself to meet the required service book requirements.

Excuse my ignorance, this is a warranty type thing, the plan?.

I always thought you needed to carry out what was required in the service book in order to keep your warranty valid........... Not ever owned something newer than 3 years, I could well be wrong lol

A maint protection plan. Covers all mechanical and the servicing is capped at $350 but it they only do the basics. Just asking if the 80k service is critical? If so I will do the rest of the work that is required for the 80k after they have done the capped.

Wow $350 doesn't go far theses days.
may be ok for the Better half's pulsar, bet your 4b is going to cost more.
something is better than nothing I guess.
so if you do some work yourself could this void a warranty?, as you don't have it stamped by a registered mechanic.
cheers
