Has anyone done a brake conversion using GU brakes and fitted them to a GQ. If so did you replace the master cylinder with a GU master cylinder and did it just bolt up to the GQ booster. Any help with a GU brake upgrade on a GQ would be great. Cheers

I am also trying to get specs on GQ front and rear rotor diameters and thicknesses and GU front and rear rotor diameters and thicknesses.

This is what will define what parts you require as there are different thickness and diamters. Obviously if the thinkness is different your mount on your diff will be the issue same as with the diameter it will be the caliper mount on your diff that will be the deciding factor.

These are the rotor measurements on my car.
Measurements are'nt exact as they are still on the car but they are close.
Rotors
Front diameter- 3050mm-3060mm
Front thickness- 30mm
Rear diameter- 3200mm
Rear thickness- 15mm
I believe these are some sort of GU rotor
Correct me if I am wrong.
Unusual that the rears are larger than the front
Do these correspond with what come on a GU patrol and if so what model, petrol, diesel, auto or manual.

swap out the diffs completely if you can, end up with bigger & stronger everything

I believe I have GU diffs in the GQ. Is there a visual difference between the GQ and GU diffs

Yeah mate the knuckles are phyiscally bigger where the cv is housed park them next to each other and the difference is quite obvious. Also I believe the GU diffs are roughly 100mm wider than GQ
