Cruise Control and GAS

Hello Everyone, - Please excuse if I do this wrong....first ever 'forum experience' =)

I have just purchased a 2002 4.8 ST Plus limited edition patrol, it's on gas for the sub tank.

I have only had the car like 3 weeks or so, and when I drove it home on petrol the cruise worked fine, but when I tried today on the freeway on gas, it lost all power when I 'set' it and when I tried to accelerate again it backfired

My question is, Can they not go on gas on cruise control? ( I have never in my life owned a car with gas)

Does it perform OK on gas without Cruise control ON? Gas should work just the same as petrol WRT cruise control, its generally a mechanical linkage to the throttle body for non fly by wire.

HI mate got the same 4wd on gas have no problems with the cruise control

Should have nothing to do with gas, 99% of all gas problems are electrical thus your back fire,
Take the car back and get them to get the gas right
