Hi Guys, read this bit on ebay add, saying about auto hubs being troublesome, is this right regards Alex

I would not call them troublesome if used correctly.

Auto hubs can disengage when reversing if 4wd is engaged in the auto position as this is how you are meant to disengage 4wd.

I have auto hubs with the auto mechanism taken out so they are just like manual hubs now, I only done this because my auto mechanism did finally fail.

I would recommend that you only engage 4wd in the auto position if you know the track is an easy track where there is no likely hood of reversing is done. Manually lock the hubs in for everything else.

If your auto hubs are working fine, I would not waste the money on getting manual locking hubs.
