G'day boyz & gals,

OK, My tax check has arrived and the wife has approved funds to be allocated to buy some 'toys' for my 'other girl'. All was good until I started reading some posts on different temp & boost ranges.

Now I am totally confused, there are so many different types & different range spectrums, I am not sure what I should be looking at.

First of all (remembering I am a complete novice), I want to try & install all this myself, obviously to cut down on cost & to get myself learned.

No1: Do I go for a pillar pod, steering wheel column mount or centre dash mount. (Looking at ease of install vs practicality.

Dash (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/280932047464?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649) Pillar Pod (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Pillar-Pod-Bundle-GU-Patrol-LCD-EGT-BOOST-OIL-PRES-WATER-TEMP-Satin-Black-/230831792040?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35bea59fa8) Column Mount (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nissan-Patrol-GU-2-Gauge-Column-Mount-52mm-BLACK-/271023853394?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f1a47cf52)

No2: The gauges themselves; Do I want a gauge with neg & pos range, and what max range is best. There are VDO boost gauges that go from 0-15psi or do I need something with a more substantual range, similar for EGT gauge, what temps would I be looking at roughly??

Also do alot of you have other gauges installed, ie: oil/water temp etc............

I have been going back to the pillar pod setup from the eBay link above alot, as it is a complete package, but I am a little put off due to the price. I am not trying to sound like a tight bum, but I also want to get the most $$ value from my purchase.

Keeping in mind that over the next 2-3 weeks I will also be doing a 3inch exhaust and catch can/ EGR plate install.

Thankyou for any opinions and advise you can offer

Adam

As above. 0-30 psi boost gauge
0-1000 C* EGT gauge
The pillar pods are the go I run one of theseit looks trick and mounts very easily.

Also VDO gauges all the way the are a reasonably priced very good quality gauge.
