Does anyone have access to GQ carby rebuild instructions?
All the searching I did indicated that rebuild kits come with the instructions. Got my rebuild kit in the mail today and this is not the case. :frown:
I only really have issues with the idle circuit not working so if anyone has any tips to fix that without using this kit I'd be grateful too.
Ive taken out the idle mixture screw and gone to town with carby cleaner to no avail. Ill try compressed air next when I get a new compressor. My compressor died.
Cheers,
Dan

Went to take the carby off today to rebuild but thought I'd go for a drive first. It worked perfectly on petrol all day.
Good times.

And it its busted again. Grr.
Does the manual have a step by step guide or only some exploded pictures? I found a manual elsewhere but dont know if what is on this site is any better.
Does anyone know if Ill need to make any tuning adjustments if all I do is pull it down, clean it and put it back together?
Thanks
Dan

Just take note of the idle mixture screw i think count how many turns you wind it in then wind it all the way out .
Or the manual has something like wind it in when idling until it dies then out half or one turn would have to look it up.
I have a gregorys here somewhere if you get stuck.between that and the factory manual you should have no problems .

Its all the way in then 2.5 turns out and adjust until the idle speed is at its highest point.

Its annoying because if it didnt lie to me Sunday I would have rebuilt the fucking thing. Instead I made benches and shelves in the shed just because I was bored.
