Hi guys,
My non turbo 4.2 has decided to 'take the piss' on cold mornings.
There is no prostate issues either. When it turns on the taps it really does a tropical downpour.
The funny thing is that it only happens when it is seriously cold. (minus something degrees).
The simple cure is to take it for a quick drive. 2 or 3 mins is plenty. Then it all stops.
I have traced the leak (definately) to the inj.pump but can't imagine what is happening to make it start (or stop) leaking.

Any thoughts?

Thanks
Dave

All depends where exactly it is leaking from usually o rings on the throttle shaft or on a side cover.
Simple fix replace o rings.
some even have success tightening the bolts on the side plate

:shivering:
What effect would fuel gelling have on this? I imagine the pump would push the stuff through anyway. The stuff squirting everywhere is liquid.
I have heard that adding a litre of petrol to the tankful helps with smoke and gelling.
What thoughts???
