Right, well ya need a very good battery, ya need good glo plugs , ya need good compression, ya need NO air in the fuel system, the timing has to be perfect.
The edic motor needs to be working and operate the injection pump from the start, to the run and to the stop position.
The fuseable link has to be in good order as well as fuel filter, the priming pump and all vacuum lines from the throttle body to the injection pump.
Each, or any of these systems will make it hard to start if not in good order.
Cheers, the ferret.
PS, we don't need pics to work out why the thing won't start, it won't start because there is some thing wrong with it!!!

So, ya alternator is slacking off a bit, if you put another battery in and all the afforesaid criteria has been attended to, the thing should start.
Fuel, heat, compression and bang.( suck, push, bang, blow) the old fella that taught me that, passed away last Saturday, my Father in law, and he knew his stuff.

Good battery, prime the lift pump, bleed the injector pump, making sure all filters seal, and glo plugs working, loosen No 1 injector at the injector (two spanners) spin motor, when it starts, tighten No 1 injector line.
If it won't go, you have a serious problem.
The timing is out, the injector pump is rewted, the system has a guts full of air, or the fuel primer is stuffed.
At the inlet of the fuel primer pump, there is a "banjo" fitting, inside this is a gauze filter, it may be blocked, I would look at that before doing anything major.
Cheers, the ferret.

hey m8yea the glow plugs are brand new the lift pump is working bled the i/p she blew smoke but didnt run... it came out of one truck to mine so timing shouldn be an issue and the edic was disconnected.. with no tension on springs.. buggered if i know.. na the fellas wanted pics of me trip lastnite lol.. and ass a result of lastnite me alternator only charges 25v instead of 27.8 for some reason? thanks buddy
