Hi Guys!
Finally got the patrol on the weekend and it is sick! Went driving up the side of mt dandenong! found a few mud holes and puddles. Was great way to get used to it! So much higher than my 79 celica.

Got the stickers off one side, now to do the other side. I wish i had more time but don't we all. Will probably install the head unit this weekend and re wire the spotties! Also driving up to Darwin in the end of september! Should be an awesome trip! Will post some more progress pics soon!

Went out this afternoon up behind yarra glen in at Pauls range. Few pretty decent hills but was a lot of fun! had a hilux and land cruiser too! first time out in the Patrol! Was a blast!

Went up to phillip island last weekend. Found a nice muddy track along the coast near the nobbies, Had 8 of us in the car! was great! Also got the spotties and shovel mount all finished! Next is the 2" Lift

Got new alpine speakers in the front doors, took all of about 1 hour. Got a bit of a laugh out of the original Nissan speakers. Do I put the sub and amp in?

What speakers did you use size etc?
I need to replace all mine, they work when they feel like it

Na just did front, they were 6.5" whatever depth, back are 6" I think but need to shallower.

Just got a roo systems awning. Probably install it this weekend! Guys down at the Bayswater dealer are really great to deal with!

I too got a roo systems awning and a word if warning, ALWAYS peg it down straight away. As I found out only a slight breeze was enough to pick it up and broke both plastic bits on the cross bars. 24961
The plastic bits are $10 each and they also have an aluminium replacement for $20 each. Not covered under warranty.
Also get bigger longer pegs to make sure it's secured well.

Thanks for the heads up, the pole attachments are all aluminum now, I don't know if that's different to your but will definitely take the extra 30 seconds to peg it down! Cheers mate

haha i didnt let the tires down enough and the sand was real boggy, apparently quite a few people get bogged there, was talking to a local lady. So tires and a bit of ignorance haha
