Hi this is the new toy for my shed. I picked it up a few weeks back with a shagged clutch Diff dumped cannon exhaust and more mud on the inside than iv ever see. It came with a 3inch spring lift and 2 inch body plenty of dints and battle scars but noting that im worried about.
The 1st step of my build was to wash it inside and out get the doors opening and closing and fix the little things that bug me like head and tail lights not working,

Progress so far Iv installed a reverse light inside the rear wheel carrier, done the clutch and all fluids, Made a custom front winch bar and sliders. Got a new set of 35inch tyres and 15x8 rims installed a 2.5 inch exhaust,
Im working on a tight budget so progress will come in waves but heres some pics so far.
(note the reg 35s didnt come with the car)

Forgot to add that I got a UHF for a box of beer so thats in as well.
Still having trouble with it back firing when coasting but will track that down over the next few days.
I have new plugs and leads points to fit so i can start the gas tune fresh.

Yeah will do. They are just the pics on my phone. Took it out for a quick run late Saturday night seems to handle the bush well for the small sping lift it has, 99% of the truck we lift have 4-6 inch so 3inch is surprising where I can take it with still driving much like a road car.

Thats because its a Patrol. The Aussie bush actually parts to make way for all Patrols out of sheer respect.... heheheheh...

Nice project. I have to learn how to weld so I can do this sort of stuff myself.

Its great to see the before, during and after photos.

Cheers,

Rob

After 2days of cutting grinding and welding ill pass. Im saving my energy for the rear 1/4 chop and rear bar with wheel carrier that Im half planing once the quarters are damaged. Im ready to throw all grinders in sight to the nearest bin.
I never realised how much beer you can drink subconsciously when working, I'd stop and look and my beer and tell my mate off for drinking it on me, We averaged a case a day so some of the front bar isnt perfect but still great for the bush.

I don't think it ever ends. My mind is always on what's next. Well what it needs not what I want.
