G'day folks I have a '98 Gu and am going to get a 2 inch lift kit -- My question is, Is it easy enough to do your self with basic tools or should I just bite the bullet and leave it to the pro's ??
Pricing just affects time frame thats all.

Easy to do in the carport with some mates and some tools. As mentioned, safety first.

Well it sounds like a plan.
---- I will get me parts
---- set aside a day
---- send the minister of finance out for the day
---- fire up the coffee machine
---- And pull the suspension to bits
Many thanks folks,
If I happen to have any spare parts left over :1087: :blowup:don't you guys go to far away as I will be asking where it belongs

How much would it cost to DIY vs calling in the pro's?

Fitting would be around the $300-$400 mark for springs and shocks only. And even that's a jip as they have spring compressors that they do up and undo with a rattle gun - makes it bloody quick ...

If in doubt get the experts to do it or get a Forum member to help you.
50mm suspension would set you back around 12/1300
Another thing don't use spring compressors. Not needed when done correctly.
Cheers & have fun.

X2 I didnt need spring compressors to fit 5" flexy coils so a 2" should be a breeze

2 of the workshops in town charge $200 to fit coils and shocks, 2 hours work on a hoist easy , plus part are $360 for 4 springs and $560 for 4 shocks using Dobinsons
