Hi again this 4x4 is giving me the s%$ts no end. I've installed NADS as per Chazs' drawing etc, now black oil dripping out of breather. change oil every 5k on the dot filters etc. I'm at a loss.

Had a catch can installed at good shop, still no oil in drain pipe yet after 4 months though,

What you got me confused breather should be attached to catch can where is it dripping ?

From a rubber tube, comes out on the turbo side underneath, engine breather perhaps. I've no idea, only just started dripping

ah the turbo oil return to sump just replace the hose or check it it shouldn't be leaking..

Has the hose just come off, is that what you're saying???

Stuffed if i know have a look their is a rubber hose underneath the turbo that returns oil to the sump sometimes through the block have a look at it could be split broken need tightening on the clamps you won't know until you check it.

Right all I can see is a piece of 10mm rubber hose about 100mm long, what it goes into I dont know. checked the repair manual but it shows nothing. still stumped

lol why are you stumped is that were it is leaking from ?
Or is it that dirty you can't tell best way would be a couple of $2 degreaser cans clean it up and then check it after a drive.

Clean as under 4x4 front diff housing all wet from this dripping tube, only needed wipe with rag

Maybe I should unblock EGR???

Take a photo bud it sounds like your turbo oil return one end will go to turbo and the other into the side of the block

It's pointing down and doesnt look like anything is missing, will give upload a go, yey I did it pretty chuffed about that.
Thats the aircon compressor on the left

Hi John that hose hanging down connects to a drip tray under the oil filter housing . check that it ( the filter )hasnt come loose . tried calling you mate -straight to message bank .will keep trying .

Thanks mate I'll check later, thats the drip tray that catches any spills during oil changes right. Not too flash at the moment but it makes
sense now. it happened after oil change one time as tube leaks on front diff housing. thanks again buddy

Do I just remove cover and nip up filter?????

You dont remove the tray to get at the filter housing . Get to it from the top . 1/2 inch drive ratchet or breaker bar fits the housing . Tip - after filter change / removal . clean tray well and use compressed air to blow down the excess oil down the tube and stick rags on top of diff housing to catch the dregs .

Maybe should of told the mechanic how to clean it. LOL. least it's nothing major I'll get onto it first thing in the Morning
