Wow, I didn't think someone would bother hacking a forum account!
Have you picked up a bug from all those naughty sites you been looking at!!?

Tap, crackle, pop

No good Belzi, do you mean your email account or your Forum account or both???

The only way they can hack into your forum account would be if they found your password...

Hi Belzi

Get something like Norton which I have which has a Identity Safe which stores all of your Logons and Passwords which are invisible.
Also blocks Unsafe Sites and emails containing viruses
Not free but worth every cent

Yeah Belzi, got another one this morning, exactly the same.
You need to delete all of your email contacts from your address book and use a new password.
You have probably done all that anyway.
The reason they are being sent is because they have the list of your contacts.
This could go on for ages, and no one should click on the link that is in the email.
Best to start a whole new email A/c.
Cheers, the ferret.

HI Andy, both forum and private - I have changed my forum password and email and they are now different passwords so hopefully won't happen again.

Bummer Bel, we went through this a few months back, my partners email account got hacked and they were sending out garbage using her account to random generated email addresses.

Rule of internet and emails,

1 - Make sure you have virus, mailware and firewall software, and daily make sure there up to date

2 - Never ever use the address book to save other peoples email addresses, save them in word, excel, or database etc.....and just cut and paste the addy in when needed, yes pain in the ass, but reduces the chances of viruses spreading if your system gets infected.

3 - Never ever, store your passwords on your computer in any form.

4 - Never select the "Remember Me" on any website you enter a password into

5 - Always a good idea to change passwords on a regular basis

6 - Never use the same password for various sites

There is probably more, just can't think of them at the moment.

make sure you change your secret questions too. that is normally how hackers bypass your account. good luck fixing it.
