Alarm/central locking fob

Hi All

My 1998 SWB came with two fobs, but they were both broken. Managed to get one working by merging parts but it wont lock or unlock :-(

I may have to reprogramme it, but tried the instructions on here but couldn't get the hazards to flas, so wondering if it is different over here in the UK?

Am I right in thinking I should lock the doors then simply insert and remove the key six times without turning it and then the hazards should flash or have I missed something?

Ditch the Ni$$an shit and put in an aftermarket unit. Guaranteed to work and can be done in under 30minutes.
I did a quick walkthrough of the proceess. Its for a 2001 but yours should be the same. Should.
