Just noticed my rear rhs shock absorber is leaking oil. They are OME brand new installed back in March 2011 so still under warranty and taking it to ARB for a warranty claim next Monday.

Just a reminder to check yours too as It's hard to notice if your not looking for it as the hydrolic fluid is clear...

Would of been fun when the fluid eventually ran out...

Now you get free shocks, certainly pays to stick your head underneath every now and then who knows what you may find

I'll ask for at least both the rear's replaced.

2" GU in the GQ so it works out to be 3" really...

can you think of any reason why they failed, one of the better brands out there, Ks would be best IMO. Are OME re buildable???

I have seen many a shock fail with larger lifts as the pin on the diff is at a different angle to the pin on the body which causes the shocks to be constantly running with a bend in them. OME is good stuff so i reckon it could just be a one off.

Is that why they run eye to eye conversions or is that so you only need one spare if touring????????????????

The rear is already eye-eye the front is pin-pin and most of time these are changed on vehicles with a lot of front end flex.

Well, thumbs up for OME/ARB....No questions asked, replaced new shock in about an hour.

Tried to swindle a whole new set of shocks all round but no go...LMAO
