hi guys i have done the conversion to my truck and i have hooked up the vacuum lines as per another diesel and i am getting dramas with the pedal and i cant seem to work out if it is my booster or the pump on the alternator. the pump seem to be sucking pretty good.

i had a look at a couple of diesels and all of them have the same plug as my tb42,i have attempted to connect my alternator with the original plug and it seems to be a completely different plug it has 3 pins in it. 2 go horizontal and one is vertical _ _

This is all I've got, maybe one of the service manuals might be able to pin point which alternator yoy have, other than that I'm out. good luck

I had a look at the manuals and it didn't say anything about the different alternators but I chucked on a vacuum gauge and compared it to my mates one and only had half of the vacuum so I'm just gunna buy a new alternator and it will hopefully solve both problems thanks for the advice

Normally, if an alternator has a 3 pin plug it has an external regulator.

Can you see any letters near the plug on the alternator (either in the housing or on a sticker/label) such as F, N, E or S, L

Do you know what the engine came out of?

Nah I've had a look and there aren't any letters anywhere on it, and not sure what the alternator came out of its doing head in bad my mates an auto elec and even he is puzzled coz there is no writing on it.
